Joining the GraphicDesignBar community

Some answers to frequently asked questions:

What do I get if I join?

You get a voice. Once you join, you are able to post to the GraphicDesignBar Forum and share your ideas and opinions with other designers.

How much does it cost to become a member?

Nothing. At this point, joining the GraphicDesignBar community is totally and completely free.

If it is free, why do I have to join?

You will not be able to post to the GraphicDesignBar Forum unless you:

have a free account with blogger.com
have been invited to become a member

Huh? Did you say Invite?

Yep. Membership is by invitation only. If you would like to be considered for membership, please send an email of interest to info@graphicdesignbar.com. We're assuming that you are somehow involved in the graphic arts, so send us a link to your fabulous online portfolio if you want to be extra cool and show off a little.

Why do we do this? Primarily because it's blogger.com policy. But also because the key word here is community. We know each other. We'd like to at least make an attempt to know you a little bit before we welcome you onto the playground.

Will you use and abuse my email address if I join?

No way. The only reason we need your email address is so that we can send you an initial invitation and the occasional general site-themed email. We will not sell your email address or any other information about you. We are not running a shady business—in fact, we are not running a business at all. This is a community. No financial gain to be had at the expense of our members, we promise.

I don't want to post to the GDBar Forum, but I would like to greedily take advantage of all your nice links and resources without becoming a member

Haha, fine. At this point, you are totally and completely free to do that. Our goal is not to create some elite club. Sure, we'd love to know of your existence but if you'd prefer to remain anonymous, enjoy the site and best of luck to you in your design endeavors.
