McDonald's Sundial Billboard
Interesting, though flawed, idea: McDonald's has set up a billboard that functions as a sundial in Chicago. The sun creeps through the breakfast menu towards a burger n' fries. Kind of cool... except for the fact that the earth's orbit around the sun will render the whole thing useless in just a few weeks. Pesky earth, can't stay in one place, interfering with advertising and global McDomination... [via Gizmodo]

Obviously you have no clue as to the orbit of the earth around the sun, as the relative position of the items on the billboard can remain constant-it is only the length of the shadow that will need to be adjusted
Er, obviously you are the one without a clue, dear anonymous: "The McDonald's ad agency searched far and wide until it found a billboard with just the right angle to take advantage of the sun's rays. The billboard made its debut on Friday, and it will stay in place until next month; by then the shadow angles will have changed so much it will cease to work properly." There are times printed on the billboard. Read the source article.
